According to local villager of the said island, large ships are used to transport soil to Spratly Island.
Those large ships are owned by Chinese. No doubt, Chinese people are using our soil in constructing man-made island in Spratly. One of their sources is Tawi-tawi.
Local villager also said Datu Habib Sarifuddin Maulana was against the quarrying activity in the island.
Also the reason why village chief has been assassinated. Local villager was still seeking justice for Maulana.
Hopefully, our efforts today will reach in the eyes and ears of Secretary Gina Lopez of DENR.
